Moldovan businessmen must be ready to cooperate with Romania
The Businessmen Community of Moldova has to be prepared for the moment Romania enters EU, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RM, Gheorghe Cucu, stated on Friday, June 30, at the Romanian-Moldovan Economic Forum, organized at CIE „Moldexpo”.
According to Cucu, after the adhesion, Romanian businessmen will have not only advantages, but also requirements and will have to seek for possibilities “to transfer a part of their capital to Moldova”.
According to him, lately in Moldova the prices to apartments and land have increased significantly, representing a clear sing of attraction of RM, together with the European integration of Romania in EU.
At the same time, Cucu also said that the Free Exchange Agreement with Romania will stop functioning, and in order to export Moldovan goods on the Romanian market, businessmen will be obliged to comply with the trade requirements of EU countries. He welcomed, in the context, the experience that Romania has and is ready to share it with the businessmen community of RM.
At the same time, Cucu addressed to participants at the Forum with the advice to utilize more the possibilities provided by those six Free Economic Zones of Moldova, including those very close to Romania. He also noted that the parts should get over the formal moment in exploiting those two euro-regions: Upper Prut and Lower Danube, where the parts might benefit of financial assistance programs and projects from EU.
Gheorghe Cucu asked the Romanian part to help Moldova in improving the informational systems, including Euro-Info-Center created at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to prepare staffs in different training systems.
