Moldovan biathletes have modest performance at World Champs
The Moldovan biathletes did not achieve significant results at the World Champs taking place in the German town Rupholding, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Victor Panzaru ranked 113th of 138 competitors in the 10-km sprint. He missed only one target at the shooting range, but finished almost 6 minutes behind the winner – France’s Martin Fourcade.
Among women, Alexandra Kamenshchik finished 110th of 116 participants in the 7.5-km sprint. She missed four targets and was outrun by champion Magdalena Neuner from Germany by over seven minutes.
Thus, the Moldovan biathletes did not qualify for the pursuit races. Panzaru and Kamenshchik will compete only in individual events on March 6 and 7.
