Moldovan, Belarusian presidents have phone conversation

The bilateral relationship between Moldova and Belarus formed the key part of a telephone conversation held by Moldova's acting President Mihai Ghimpu and Belarusian president Alexandr Lukashenko, the Moldovan presidential press service reported. The presidents concurred that that the potential of the Moldo-Belarusian relationship is not fully exploited, agreeing that both presidential administrations should make a thorough analysis of the bilateral relations and develop proposals to stimulate them. Alexandr Lukashenko informed Mihai Ghimpu on the essence of the problem with Russian gas supplies to Belarus, the position of the authorities in Minsk and the measures taken. Mihai Ghimpu wished his Belarusian counterpart to see a speedy resolution of the problem in the best interest of the people.
