Moldovan authorities recognize drawbacks in legal system
Ways of improving the activity of courts, the judges’ responsibility for the made decisions and for insuring the court trials were discussed on December 1, at a sitting on bettering the Moldovan judiciary convened by the president of the country, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the presidential press service, they highlighted the drawbacks in the process of making justice which lead to inadmissible illegalities and mar the citizens’ rights to fair justice.
The attendees worded different proposals to the steps that need to be taken to improve the situation.
The sitting convened by Vladimir Voronin was attended by Speaker Marian Lupu, prime-minister Zinaida Greceanai, deputy premier Valentin Mejinschi, chairman of the Supreme Court of Justice Ion Muruianu, chairman of supreme council of Magistrature Nicolae Clima, justice minister Vitalie Parlog, general prosecutor Valeriu Gurbulea, presidential advisor for legal issues Igor Vremea.
