Moldovan authorities ready for constructive dialogue with Ukrainian side

The Moldovan authorities are willing to have a constructive dialog with the Ukrainian side with a view to intensifying the commercial exchanges between the two countries for the benefit of the people of both of the states, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said in a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodimir Groisman, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the two officials explored possibilities of stimulating the Moldovan-Ukrainian partnership. The dialogue focused on the developments witnessed within the bilateral partnership and on possibilities of fostering this.

Pavel Filip reiterated that the Republic of Moldova supports Ukraine’s efforts to maintain peace in its Eastern region by preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state.

The interlocutors also conferred on the meeting of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development GUAM, which will take place in the second half of this February in Kiev. In this connection, Pavel Filip noted this will be an opportunity to discuss topical subjects from the bilateral agenda and to identify new possibilities of developing and strengthening cooperation between the two states in different areas.
