Moldovan athletes receive money prizes for Paralympic Games performances
The Moldovan athletes who participated in the 14th editions of the Paralympic Games in London received money prizes in token of gratitude from the Moldovan Government, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a press release of the Executive, athlete Stefan Rosca received €20,000 for the 9th place in powerlifting, in the 75 kg category. His coach Dumitru Prodan was awarded the same sum. Vlad Filat also offered a prize of gratitude to Larisa Marinenkova for participation in the powerlifting competition.
“What you do is an example for many and the way you fight and live your life is absolutely special. Besides appreciation for the results, your participation in the Paralympics awakes in me deep feelings of admiration and gratitude for what you do”, said the Prime Minister.
As Moldova prepares for the future editions of the Olympic Games, the Prime Minister stressed the need to promote all the gifted people who have the skills to obtain good results in sports.
