Ecaterina Tretiacova, who is a member of Moldova’s national squad to the European Weightlifting Championship held in Tallinn, Estonia, finished second in the 69 kg class. Moldova was represented by three athletes at this championship, Moldova’s Ambassador to Estonia Victor Guzun has told IPN.

Athlete Ion Terna, 62 kg class, ranked third, while Iurie Bulat, 85 kg class, took the sixth position. The Moldovan squad is trained by Grigore Brasoveanu and Veaceslav Celma. The Ministry of Youth and Sport will offer a prize of 9,000 lei to Ecaterina Tretiacova and 6,000 lei to Ion Terna.

The championship took place on September 20-27.
