A man aged 40, who was put on the wanted list in 2004, was arrested in Moscow and then extradited to Moldova. Sixteen years ago, he escaped from the penitentiary in Cahul, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the man was convicted of rape, drug distribution, blackmail, illegal holding of arms and munitions.
The man will now serve at most three more years in addition to the non-served jail term.
