Moldovan and Ukrainian border guards signed joint action plan

Border Guard Services from Moldova and Ukraine signed a Joint Development and Collaboration Plan for 2007. The document has been signed by the general director of the Moldova Border Guard Service, Igor Colenov, and the chairman of the Ukraine State Border Guard Service, Nicolai Litvin, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Border Guard Service, the joint document aims to improve the cooperation between the two border guard bodies, coordinate the efforts in countering violations at the border and others. The work meeting of the delegations of border guard institutions from the two countries has been held in the town of Stefan Voda. The meeting agenda included issues related to the situation at the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border, aspects of bilateral cooperation, achievements and extension of informational exchange between the two structures. Discussions also focused on the development of partnership between the supervising and control services from Moldova and Ukraine at the state border. Parties established prospects of the development of this collaboration.
