In 2004, the Moldovan police announced him as internationally wanted for smuggling children. 6 months ago, the suspect was held up by the Russian police in St. Petersburg, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Interior Ministry.
In 2004, the suspected deceived by trust abuse, recruited and took 2 children to Russia. They were 12 and 16 years old and were forced to beg on St. Petersburg's streets, being held in poor conditions and treated inhumanely.
The police says the man recruited victims from poor families, forged their documents and thus was getting proxies to take them abroad with.
