Moldovagaz dismisses reports of having cut supplies to power plants
Moldovagaz's management, at a meeting with Chisinau's general mayor, has said it was delivering natural gas as due, although the CET – 1 and CET – 2 power plants and Termocom heat supplier said on December 26 they were receiving less gas, reads a press release by the Chisinau City Hall, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The City Hall calls on the Government to oblige CET 2 to carry out its contract obligations in its relations with Moldovagaz and with Termocom. The Chisinau local authorities say that, from December 24, the air temperature has dropped to - 10 0C, as CET – 2 did not raise the temperature of the thermal agent to some 80 0C , as due, but decreased it to 65 0 C. “Thus, the plant does not observe the technical parameters provided in normative acts,” reads the letter sent to the Government.
The Chisinau City Hall draws the Government's attention to the fact that CET – 2 invoked the reason that Moldovagaz would have reduced the supplies by 30% of the necessary. “At the same time Moldovagaz says it has not reduced the supplies to CET – 2 or to other heat suppliers,” the Chisinau City Hall says.
As for the statements of Termocom that the municipal budget would have the necessary money to pay the debt to Termocom, the Chisinau City Hall says that even the planned incomes has not entered the budget, as a deficit of 12 million lei was registered in December. The City Hall maintains that Termocom's statements do not correspondent to reality and pursue to mislead the public.
