Gas consumers in Moldova owe a total 162.5 million lei in overdue bills to Moldovagaz, from the beginning of this year until June. To prevent disruptions of gas supplies, Moldovagaz asks consumers to pay their overdue bills as soon as possible.
The company said in a press release that there are over 4,000 household consumers with debts north of 5,000 lei, accounting for 36.6% of the total debts owed by household consumers.
The decision of the Committee for Emergencies of 24 June repeals the ban on disconnecting consumers for overdue bills, effective 31 July.
