Moldova youth enhancing leadership skills
Forty-five youths from across the country have come together for a several-day conference titled “iLeader” to improve their leadership skills and establish connections with other NGO leaders, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to iLeader project coordinator Mihaela Iurascu, a member of the student organization AIESEC Moldova, the participants are demonstrating their leadership abilities by presenting ideas and projects addressing the problems of their native communities. “The iLeader project involves a conference for the leaders of NGOs , project coordinators, NGO executives, and aims at developing leadership abilities and team management skills. At the end of the conference, each participant is to advance an idea for a project that would address one of the identified problems”.
AIESEC Moldova, which is the organizer of the event, will initiate a competition of small projects and the most active participants in the conference will be provided traineeship in an NGO abroad where they will gather experience in project implementation. At the end of the conference, there will be selected 3 projects that will be awarded financing of $500 each.
