The Voievod style wrestlers of Moldova have won four medals, three of which gold ones, at the Word Martial Arts Championships that were held in Italy, IPN reports.

Nicolae Deleu, Vasile Zbarnea and Dumitru Ostrovan won gold, while Ian Barnat medalled silver.

“The world championships in Italy brought together over 8,000 athletes. We are glad that we manage to keep our rating high. Nicolae Deleu proved his class and became again world champion,” president of the Voievod National Wrestling Federation of Moldova Nicolae Pascaru told a news conference.
