The Moldovan athletes won a gold, a silver and two bronze medals at the European Youth and Junior Sambo Championships that took place in the Czech Republic during April 12-16, IPN reports.
The gold medal was won by Paulina Esanu in the 52 kg weight class. Silver was won by Victor Sterpu in the 74 kg class, while Mark Latyshev, 65 kg, and Fedico Ehtiandru, 81 kg, medalled silver.
The competition involved about 200 athletes from 25 countries.
