Freestyle wrestler Piotr Caraseni has brought the latest addition to Moldova’s trophies won at the Junior European Wrestling Championships, taking place in Rome, IPN reports.
He has claimed the bronze in the 74 kg category, beating Germany’s Kevin Lucht, 10-6. In the quarter-finals, Caraseni lost to the future champion, Russia’s Akhmed Shokumov.
Earlier, Anastasia Nichita became European champion, as Nicolai Grahmez and Andrian Grosul won silver medals.
