The national universal wrestling squad of Moldova has won five bronze medals in the World Universal Wrestling Championship for Juniors 14-17 that took place in the Russian town Medyni. The squad consisted of seven athletes, including two girls, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Youth and Sport, bronzes were won by Ecaterina Ogoliuc (52 kg class), Alina Vucolova (62 kg), Alexandr Sadovnic (45 kg), Dmitrii Gutu (65 kg), and Valentin Saevski (70 kg).
The costs incurred for organizing the national squad’s participation in the championship totaled 32,000 lei.
