Five Moldovan athletes have won bronze medals at the World Universal Wrestling Championship in the 14-17 age bracket. The national universal wrestling team of Moldova consisted of seven sportspersons and coach Sergey Corovai, IPN has learned from the Ministry of Youth and Sport.

The championship was held in the Russian town Medyni on September 17-22. Bronzes were won by Ecaterina Ogoliuc (52 kg class), Alina Vucolova (62 kg), Alexandr Sadovnic (45 kg), Dmitrii Gutu (65 kg), and Valentin Saevskii (70 kg).

The Ministry of Youth and Sport allocated 32,000 lei for the participation in the competition.
