The national kickboxing squad has won two golds, seven silvers and five bronzes at the World Cup held in Anapa, Russia. Kick-boxers Adrian Gologan and Alexandru Ivanov became champions, IPN reports.
“I took part in such a gala for the first time. I was very nervous. I didn’t expect I will rank first,” Adrian Gologan told a news conference.
Silvers were won by Alexandru Ciulcov, Radu Cojocari, Nikita Liovuskin, Nikita Stirbu, Denis Telesman, Nadejda Cantir, and Anea Moisei, while bronzes were brought by Vladislav Diacov, Dmitrii Gaiduchevici, Ivan Belii, Sergiu Morteanu, and Artur Brinza.
“We are sure we will achieve good results every time we leave for competitions,” said the national squad coach Eugen Musalimov.
The competition was held on September 25-30. The next challenge for the Moldovan kick-boxers is the World Championship that will take place in Turkey in November.
