Moldovan wrestlers won three golds, six silvers and five bronze medals at the European Shotokan Karate Championships held in Poland, IPN reports.
Vitalie Spanu became European champion among seniors for the third time. Another two athletes from Balti - Vasilii Dovzii (youth) and Mihail Volontir (juniors) - won gold.
In the seniors’ competition, silver was won by Moldova’s kumite team that consisted of Vitalie Spanu, Andrei Iepure, Andrei Drobot and Viorel Stirbu. Iepure and Drobot also won bronze in individual kumite.
