Moldova will host major rugby event
Moldova will host an international rugby-7 tournament, dedicated to the Youth Days. The competition will take place on Saturday, November 24, on the Dinamo Stadium in Chisinau and in Ratus town, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The competition will gather teams from Romania, Poland and Moldova. The four teams that will compete in the women’s tournament are CS Politehnica Iasi, USEFS Chisinau, RC Ciorescu and CS Femina Chisinau. The 14 participants in the men’s tournament were divided into two groups. Poland I, Poland II, CSM Suceava Romania, USEFS Chisinau, Sporting-ASEM Chisinau, Olimp-Electromas Tiraspol, Dinamo Tiraspol and Gold-Team Chisinau will play in the Elite Group. In Group B, the competitors will be RC Ciorescu, USM Chisinau, ULIM Chisinau, CS Politehnica Chisinau, CS Cojusna and Military Academy “Alexander the Good” of Chisinau.
The tournament will promote a social campaign with the message “Sport condemns violence against women!”, reads a press release of the National Rugby Federation.
The list of organizers includes several state institutions, sponsors and the OSCE Mission in Moldova.
