Moldova will export more wine to EU
The European Commission decided to increase the quota on the export of Moldova wine to the EU by 80%, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Economy.
Under the extended Autonomous Trade Preferences, the quota for 2011 will be 1.5 million decaliters, for 2012 – 1.8 million decaliters, while for 2013-2015 – 2.4 million decaliters. The European Commission's decision is to be confirmed by the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament.
The quotas on the export of grain, barley and corn might be raised by 5,000 tonnes so that they total 50,000 tonnes in 2015.
The Autonomous Trade Preferences were granted to Moldova on March 1, 2008 with the aim of liberalizing trade with the European Union and ensuring preconditions for creating a favorable economic environment and attracting investment.
