A two-day Moldova-U.S. business forum will be held in Chisinau during April 11 and 12, where potential partnerships will be established in fields like infrastructure, agribusiness, energy, and ICT among others. This was discussed during a meeting between Moldova’s Economy Minister Chiril Gaburici and United States Ambassador Dereck Hogan.
The Ministry said in a press release that on the first day of the event Government representatives will make presentations of opportunities in sectors that Moldova considers strategic. The second day will feature a networking session for Moldovan companies to seek potential U.S. partners. According to Chiril Gaburici, the forum will also be an occasion for Moldovan businesspersons to learn from potential American partners and start attracting foreign investment.
Ambassador Hogan praised the initiative of the visiting U.S. businesspersons to go to Moldova’s universities and share their experience of doing business, attracting investment and promoting innovation. “It is important that young people get inspiration first-hand from businesspersons about their success stories”, Ambassador Hogan was quoted by the Ministry as saying.
The United States is the seventh largest investor in Moldova.
