Moldova Unita Party claims it is hampered to electioneer
The Spiritual Development Party “Moldova Unita” accuses the Communists Party (PCRM) and the People's Christian-Democratic Party (PPCD) of restricting the access of other political parties to hold rallies with voters. This electoral campaign is “a show”, said the leader of Moldova Unita, Ana Tcaci, on Monday at a news conference.
“The horning of the dignitaries' cars have become major events in districts and villages.” “You get the impression that only this party is in the spotlight, while the people is full of terrorists and savages,” Ana Tcaci said.
She said that at a rally in Briceni, the people had to wait one hour in the rain for the manager of a culture house to open it, while mayors representing the PCRM and the PPCD did not even allow them to campaign in their villages.
The president of the Glodeni district branch of Moldova Unita, Valentin Dani, running on the party's list for the parliament, has said he was not allowed to post the party's electoral ads on a specially-designed place in a village in Drochia district. Another candidate of Moldova Unita, Nicolae Macarov, has said “people from the party's list are fired without any explanations.”
Moldova Unit's representatives will complain to the Central Election Commission concerning the violations they tracked. Moldova Unita is the tenth on the ballots.
Representatives of the PCRM and of the PPCD have made no comment as to the afore-mentioned claims.
