The national U-17 football team of Moldova suffered a 0-3 defeat in the first match against Spain’s squad of the 2013/2014 European Championship preliminaries. The Spanish footballers scored all the goals in the first half through Asier Villalibre, Sergi Canós, and Diego Altamirano, IPN reports

According to the Moldovan Football Federation, Moldova ranks last in the group. It will play the next matches against Norway on September 27 and against Cyprus on September 30. The national U-17 squad is trained by Nicolae Bunea.

In the other match of Group 8, Norway defeated Cyprus 4-2.
