Moldova, Turkey extend cultural cooperation relations

The Cabinet approved the signing of an agreement on the mutual institution of cultural centers with the Government of Turkey, IPN reports.

The informative note to the draft decision says the importance of the cultural centers for the international cultural diplomacy has grown. These institutions can substantially contribute to developing cultural life in the diaspora.

Moldova and Turkey intend to step up the cooperation relations in culture given the presence of the Gagauz community in Moldova.

The cultural centers will stage different events, such as concerts, theater performances, exhibitions and festivities dedicated to the national days.

The agreement will be valid for a period of five years.
