Moldova to play Sweden in Doha

The national football team of Moldova will play a friendly match against the team of Sweden in Doha, Qatar, on January 9, IPN reports.

Sweden has qualified for the 2020 UEFA European Championship and is on the 17th spot in the FIFA rankings. Earlier, Moldova and Sweden met for seven times and the Scandinavians every time emerged victorious.

Moldova manager Engin Firat summoned 22 players to the game, but the list can be yet modified as the date of the encounter is not part of the FIFA calendar and some of the clubs can refuse to allow their footballers to play for the national team.

The lineup for the match with Sweden is as follows: Nicolae Calancea, Denis Rusu, Nicolae Cebotari, Igor Armaș, Veaceslav Posmac, Maxim Focșa, Artur Crăciun, Vadim Dijinari, Denis Marandici, Sergiu Plătică, Dinu Graur, Andrei Cojocaru, Dan Taras, Dan Spătaru, Ion Nicolăescu, Yevgeny Cociuc, Cristian Dros, Vadim Rață, Artur Patraș, Alexandru Suvorov, Vladimir Ambros, and Alexandru Boichuk.
