Moldova to open embassy in Spain
The Moldovan Government today adopted a decision to open an embassy in Spain, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca said the embassy was necessary because there a numerous Moldovans working in Spain. He added that it was a fulfillment of a promise given to the voters who requested the embassy.
In a symbolical coincidence, the embassy will be opened in the year when Spain takes over the presidency of the EU.
Also today the Government endorsed the decision to open a Moldovan consulate in the Romanian city of Iasi. Its vicinity with the Moldo-Romanian border will be an advantage for the beneficiaries of the Small-scale Traffic Agreement.
