The Government approved the creation of the National Agency for Development of Youth Programs and Activities, which is the first institution responsible for the implementation of youth policies created at the national level. This will develop and strengthen the institutional and youth policy system, IPN reports.
The Agency will help develop the institutional framework for cooperation with youth centers and organizations and the methodological framework for offering assistance in organizing work with young people. Minister of Education, Culture and Research Igor Sharov said such a legal entity will ensure a balanced application of the policy framework at the local level, more efficient cooperation with the local public authorities, initiative groups of young people from all over the country.
“I’m confident that the Agency will provide not only assistance and consultancy as regards work with the young people, but will also channel the creative energies and capacities of the young,” said Prime Minister Ion Chicu, congratulating the young people and youth workers on the occasion of the International Youth Day that is celebrated on August 12.
“We hope the creation of the Agency will bring about positive changes in their life and in the life of the youth centers of Chisinau and other towns, the 23 district youth centers.”
