The Romania-Moldova-Ukraine Crossborder SMURD Emergency Medical Assistance Project was launched in Iasi on August 8. A helicopter will be bought within this project to provide emergency medical care on both sides of the border between Romania and Moldova, IPN has learned from the Romanian Embassy in Moldova.

As part of the same project, the specialized institutions of Moldova will be outfitted with emergency medical assistance equipment for reanimation and extrication.

The project is financed by the European Union through the Join Operational Program Romania- Ukraine-Moldova.
