Moldova's national tennis team will play Latvia in round one of 2009 Davis Cup, Info-Prim Neo reports. Moldova-Latvia will be the first match to be played in Group II of the Europe/Africa zone. The game will be hosted by Chisinau in early March. The winner will proceed to the quarterfinals against Hungary or Bulgaria, with the loser consigned to Group III in 2010. According to international media, Latvia will theoretically be favored to dismiss Moldova, whose top player is ranked No. 374, with relative ease.
