Moldova starts export of processed meats to Russia

Two companies have obtained the right to export finalized meat goods to Russia. Until now Moldova was allowed to export only unprocessed meats to Russia. Export certificates were offered to “Carmez” and “Carne-Sud” Ltd from Tvardita. Director General of Tvardita’s “Carne-Sud” Maria Pascova told Info-Prim Neo that a lot of effort was put into obtaining this certificate. “We understood that the local market overpopulated with meat products, thus it became crucial for our enterprise to export its products. Russian experts were invited to check our work conditions and production capacity”, said Maria Pascova. Pascova added that once the exports start the production volume will increase significantly. “We have already convened upon the purchase of a new factory, which we will furnish and start producing over there as well. This also implies an increase in workplaces”, said the director. “Carne-Sud” Ltd will export to Russia, boiled and smoked, pork ribs and tenderloins. Manager of Carmez’s production department Ala Bogdanova said that their company will mostly export canned meats. The enterprises continue negotiating with foreign partners, which should be followed by the signing of export contracts, along with agreements on export points and prices.
