Moldova squad optimistic ahead of next qualifier
Moldova coach Igor Dobrovolski told reporters on Wednesday at an open training session that victory is the only outcome he expects from the forthcoming match against Greece. “We are in the mood to win and we'll spare no effort to make up for the previous defeats”, said Dobrovolski, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
However, Dobrovolski looked rather reserved and avoided questions, saying there's nothing else to add or change about his previous statements about the determination to reach the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa.
Moldova captain Radu Rebeja, currently playing for FC Moscow, expressed his optimism about the game and promised great football and good results to the fans. “We have no choice but to win over Greece, given that we lost the first qualifiers. Let's hope that the previous matches played against the Greeks will help us”.
The fixture Moldova-Greece will be played Sunday, Oct. 11, in the Greek town of Piraeus staring at 21:30.
