Significant climbers were Egypt, after wining the African Cup of Nations, up 14 places to 10th, Malawi, up 17 to 82nd, Gambia up 18 to 98th, Yemen, up 25 to 105th, Tajikistan, up 17 to 148th, and Dominica, up 15 to 182nd. Biggest droppers were Oman down 14 spots to 93rd, Guinea, down 17 to 90th, Indonesia, down 16 to 136th, Burundi, down 21 to 147th, and Nicaragua, down 29 to 162nd. On March 3, Moldova will play the first friendly match this year, against Kazakhstan. Moldova's opponents in the 2012 European Championship qualifiers will become known on February 7.
