Moldova simplifies access to social services for Transnistrians

The Moldovan authorities plan to apply digital solutions to simplify access to social services for citizens from all over the country, including those living on the left bank of the Nistru, sociologist and doctor of political science Alexandru Macukhin announced in the program "Freedom Territory" on Rlive TV, IPN reports.

According to Macukhin, it is now easier for the Moldovans living on the left bank of the Nistru to benefit from long-term medical assistance and examinations. This also comes as a result of the UNDP project “Building Sustainable and Inclusive Peace, strengthening trust and social cohesion on both banks of the Nistru River".

"I use data we collected by working directly with people in the region, talking to them. We also received unique data on the accessibility of medical services for women, in terms of pregnancy care. Everyone unanimously said that accessibility has increased," noted the sociologist.
