Moldova should switch over to presidential form of Government, “Moldova Mea”

The public association “Moldova Mea” requested the government to stop lying to the people because these no longer believe it. Representatives of the association consider Parliament should be dissolved and the Republic of Moldova should switch over to the presidential form of government. According to them, the people need a powerful President who would bring things in the country in order.

In a news conference at IPN, the association’s head Fiodor Ghelici said that after the parliamentary elections of 2014, there was a particular picture in Parliament, but now the picture is different owing to political cruising. Thus, the voters were betrayed.

According to Ghelici, the President was deprived of a number of powers and by this the people were also lied to. “The people want a powerful President, who will be responsible for what is going on in the country. The people are tired of the so-called democracy because they live in poverty no matter what government we have,” stated the activist.

“Igor Dodon is de iure President, but de facto the President is Vlad Plahotniuc, who controls the prosecution service, the police and the law enforcement bodies, but bears no responsibility,” said the chairman of “Moldova Mea”.

Alexandr Iudin, member of the association’s Administration Broad, said the people knew the candidate for President Igor Dodon and the program he proposed. They voted for him owing to the initiatives that he was to put into practice. Because of the Government and Parliament, the measures planned by the President failed. The task now is to give more powers to the President so that he could fulfill the promises made to the voters.
