The main macroeconomic indicators have developed positively in Moldova and this shows that the actions taken by the competent institutions are correct, the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in a meeting with Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Government.
The head of the IMF mission Max Alier underlined the importance of continuing the structural reforms so as to ensure sustainable development and budgetary balance in the immediate period. He made a number of recommendations, saying that special attention should be paid to risk management and ensuring of transparency in the financial sector.
Iurie Leanca said the executive will make effort to develop the relations with the IMF and other international organizations as they realize the importance of achieving Moldova’s objectives to ensure economic development and the people’s welfare.
