The national basketball team of Moldova won the second victory at the FIBA U16 European Championship Division C, which is held in Andorra. Moldova beat Malta 74-66, IPN reports.
Moldova won the first three periods by 18-15, 20-16, 25-14, losing the last period to Malta 11-21.
Earlier, the team trained by Oleg Dical defeated Wales 64-55 and lost to Gibraltar 55-85 and Armenia 37-78.
The Moldovan team included the following players: Sorocean, Hmirov, Rybak, Cocorev, Fraseniuc, Spataru, Rady, Miseailo, Lobanov, and Spinachi.
On July 29, Moldova meets Monaco in a match for the fifth-eighth places. If it wins, Moldova will play against the winner of the encounter between Albania and Wales.
