Moldova gained the first point in the UEFA Nations League after drawing with Belarus 0-0 in Chişinău, IPN reports.

Moldova missed several good occasions for scoring through Nicolăescu, Ioniță, Damașcan and Epureanu. On the other side, the Belarusian players could not beat goalkeeper Koshelev.

“We will introduce young players and will make progress. We must be patient,” Moldova manager Alexandru Spiridon told a news conference.

In the other match of Group II of League D, Luxemburg defeated away San Marino 3-0. This way, after two stages Moldova ranks third with one point. Moldova plays the next match in Chișinău against San Marino, on October 12.
