The customs authorities of Moldova and Romania signed an action plan, effective as of today and for a month, to streamline border traffic during the Easter holidays.

Activities will be synchronized, with the partners to exchange operative information. Separate lanes will be allocated for redirecting and easing passenger traffic and extra staff will be assigned when needed.

Those intending to cross the border during this period are encouraged to call the Moldovan Customs Service’s helpline +373 22 78 8888 for information about the rules of crossing the border by car and moving goods across the border, and also for reporting any cases of corruption or perceived abuse.
