The Ministry of Education of Moldova and the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research of Romania will initiate negotiations to sign a protocol of cooperation for the next three years, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.
The protocol envisions the continuation of cooperation between the sides, laying down of legal norms in the field, ensuring of continuing professional development of teachers and join implementation of educational and scientific projects. The document stipulates that the Government of Romania will annually offer scholarships to students, master‘s and doctoral students who study in Moldova. Earlier, scholarships were provided only to Moldovan students who studied in Romania.
In particular, the Ministries will cooperate in the modernization of the national education systems and will organize fact-finding visits to develop the professional capacities of teachers. Among the goals are also to improve Moldova’s performance in science and education and to promote the European integration objectives of Moldova.
