Moldova and Romania will design and implement a joint governmental program that will include the organization of refresher courses for teachers, experience exchange and provision of support for supplying the Moldovan school libraries with books in Romanian. This and other objectives are contained in a statement signed in Bucharest during the second meeting of the joint commission for European integration of the Parliament of Romania and the Parliament of Moldova, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the legislative body, the document says that until the next sitting that will take place in Chisinau on November 5-6, the commission will achieve a number of objectives in education, mass media, communications, culture and other fields.
In economy, the commission intends to increase the volume of bilateral investments by creating an economic Romania – Moldova forum for encouraging businesses. Among other objectives set out in the statement are to adjust the norms and requirements in the transport sectors of Moldova and Romania to the European standards and requirements, to integrate the energy systems of the two countries, to integrate the labor markets by ensuring easy access, to reduce the bureaucratic procedures.
It also aims to teach the Moldovan personnel from the public administration sector how to access and use European funds. In the mass media, cooperation will be intensified in the broadcasting sector in order to adjust the legislation of the two countries.
