Moldova-Romania experience exchange in education

The teachers in Moldova and Romania work in different socioeconomic and political conditions, using specific methods, but the goals pursued are identical – to form a competitive young generation. This opinion was expressed Friday in a meeting held in Chisinau, where teachers from the two countries exchanged experience in education, Info-Prim Neo reports. The event was hosted by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport of the Chisinau Municipal Council. The meeting was attended by a Romanian delegation consisting of teachers and public servants of the Iasi General School Inspectorate. The General Division's head Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb reiterated the pro-European option of the national education sector. “We count on the Romanian colleagues' support in implementing the European standards on education as they have a richer experience in this area that can be really useful,” she said. According to Liliana Romaniuc, general school inspector in Iasi, the education sectors of Moldova and Romania are now facing a crisis of image and diminution of authority. “The school is invited to provide positive social models of solving the problems it encounters for modern society,” she said. The working program included visits to Chisinau preschool and pre-university education institutions, where there was made a comparative analysis between the two education systems. The activity ended with discussions where the teachers from Moldova and Romania exchanged experience in the areas of interest. The Romanian delegation's visit to Chisinau was a response one. A group of Moldovan teachers and employees of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport pad a visit to Iasi in March. They signed a crossborder partnership agreement with the Romanian partners.
