Moldova's national football team is back in the top hundred of the world rankings. According to the latest FIFA rankings published on August 14, the Tricolors occupy the 99th spot with 325 points, IPN reports.
The team coached by Ion Caras moved up three positions since July, although no matches have been played in the meanwhile.
Moldova's next fixture is against Montenegro, ranked 49th. The game is part of the Euro 2016 qualifications and is scheduled for September 8, in Montenegro.
The other teams drawn in the same group with Moldova are Russia (23rd), Sweden (29th), Austria (40th) and Liechtenstein (167th). World champions Germany top the charts, followed by Argentina and the Netherlands. The next update of the rankings will be published on September 18, 2014.
