Moldova rise in FIFA rankings
Moldova’s national football team moved up 13 positions in the world ranking of countries published on Wednesday, November 7, by the International Football Federation (FIFA), Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the hierarchy, the Tricolors occupy the 132th position with 241 points. Last month, Moldova played two matches in the World Cup 2014 qualifiers, obtaining a 0-0 draw with Ukraine and a 2-0 victory against San Marino.
The rankings of Moldova’s group rivals changed as well. England dropped to 6th place and Ukraine to 55th, while Montenegro climbed to 34th and Poland to 54th. San Marino remain bottom ranked on 203rd place.
World and European champions Spain top the chart, followed by Germany and Argentina.
