Natalia Gordienco, who this year represents the Republic of Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Sugar”, went through to the final that will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on May 22, IPN reports.
In the second semifinal of May 20, Albania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Iceland, San Marino, Switzerland, Greece and Finland qualified for the final alongside Moldova.
The finalists decided in the first semifinal of May 18 are Azerbaijan, Belgium, Cyprus, Israel, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine. Romania failed to qualify for the final.
At the previous edition of 2019, the last one held before the pandemic, Moldova’s representative Anna Odobescu didn’t reach the final. A year earlier, in 2018, “DoReDoS” ranked tenth with the song “My lucky day”. The best result for Moldova was achieved by “SunStroke Project” in 2017 – third place.
