The national football team of Moldova in the evening of November 12 plays the last match of 2021 at home. Moldova meets Scotland, which competes in this year’s European Championship, IPN reports.
“We will definitely have a very difficult match that is very important for both of the teams. We know very well that we will play against a team that worked hard to qualify for the Qatar World Cup. And we also know that it is a very strong and aggressive team, besides the technical qualities and tactics it has. So, it will be an intensive match,” said Moldova manager Roberto Bordin.
“At the start of the qualifying competition, they suffered a bitter defeat in a match against Denmark. In time they became more competitive. Last month they lost in Israel by 1-2 and we know how hard it is to play in Israel. They showed a good game,” stated the coach of Scotland Steve Clarke, referring to Moldova.
Moldova and Scotland so far met three times. Moldova drew once and suffered two defeats. The fourth direct match between the two teams will be played at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau, starting at 7pm. The game will be controlled by Serbian referee Srdan Jovanovic.
