Moldova and Lithuania will meet for the seventh friendly in the evening of November 18. Until now the teams scored by two victories. Another two games ended in a draw. A balance was also witnessed in the 2014 World Cup preliminaries, when Moldova and Lithuania scored by 11 points, IPN reports.
A series of important players, including strikers Darvydas Sernas, of Gaziantepspor, and Edgaras Cesnauskis, of FC Rostov, will not play for Lithuania owing to injuries.
“I summoned more young players for this game, who will be able to show their abilities. It was a long way up to here and we didn’t come to lose,” Lithuania coach Igoris Pankratjevas said in a news conferee before the match.
The Moldovan team will also not include several players. “Armas and Bulgaru sustained injured, while Golovatenko went to play for his club team,” said Moldova coach Ion Caras.
The encounter between Moldova and Lithuania is played on Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau, starting at 7pm. It will be controlled by Romanian referee Alexandru Tudor.
