The national women’s football team of Moldova slipped four positions to the 85th in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings that were released on March 23, IPN reports.

Among Moldova’s opponents in Group 6 of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying competition, Italy has the best position – 15th. Belgium ranks 23rd, Portugal – 36th, while Romania – 39th. The team trained by Alina Stetsenko plays the next matches of the qualifying rounds at home - against Italy on April 6 and against Romania on April 10.

The FIFA Women’s World Rankings are headed by the United States, which is followed by England and Germany. The next FIFA rankings will be made public on June 22.
