Moldova opens talks on diploma recognition with 23 countries
The Republic of Moldova is initiating negotiations over the draft intergovernmental agreement on the reciprocal recognition of diplomas, academic titles, qualifications and competences with 23 states, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“All the states are important to us. There are countries that made significant progress in the education sector. The Moldovans going abroad obtain the status of migrant and it is important that their studies be recognized,” Minister of Education Mihail Sheahtitski said after the January 4 meeting of the Government, where the draft agreement was approved.
There will be recognized only the diplomas of the graduates who studied according to the Bologna system of education.
The countries with which Moldova will hold talks are: Italy, France, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Israel, and Cyprus.
